We think about the future

We are Klára and Zdeněk Halouzkovi, a married couple from Břeclav, completely ordinary people. We are dedicated to the development and production of unique powder fertilizers. Their composition and overall concept represent a more sustainable form of plant care, as their ecological footprint is minimal compared to liquid fertilizers.
I am primarily involved in research, development, and experimentation on various crops. Research and fact-checking are my passion. My husband has a keen eye for detail and is very skilled in technology and innovation. We do not have a modern laboratory and do not receive any subsidies. Even so, we are able to listen to the needs of plants and create only the best for them. We verify the functionality of our products with fellow growers, in our vineyard, and in our garden. Thanks to these experiments, we can guarantee that the plants in your gardens, orchards, and vineyards will receive only the best care.
All fertilizers are created with precision, respect for all living things, and a greater interest in our landscape. They are produced in a way that is as environmentally friendly as possible, in luxurious quality, contain natural substances and biostimulants, do not contain substances toxic to humans, and contribute to reducing unnecessary emissions.

How did it all begin..?

Even as a child, I was interested in nature, everything around it, the essence of how things work. With age, everything crystallized and gradually led to a deeper interest in chemistry and natural sciences. Studying applied chemistry and environmental protection was then a logical continuation of my desire for knowledge. In my bachelor's thesis, I focused on the issue of determining antioxidants in wines and burčák. I interspersed reading textbooks with part-time jobs in vineyards—from pruning, tying, and cleaning stems to harvesting. At the same time, I learned how vines develop throughout the year, how they react to external conditions, why they do what they do, and what the consequences are. Gradually, I fell completely under the spell of vineyards and became a chemist-viticulturist. At that point, it was already clear that the world of plants would continue to accompany me :)
After university, as a scientific researcher in fruit growing, I became more familiar with the cultivation and breeding of fruit crops, and my first professional articles were published. From there, I made the leap to a large chemical company and, as a fertilizer developer, I devoted myself more to chemistry. But again, accompanied by plants. How could it be otherwise :) The development of the first vertical hydroponic farm in the Czech Republic, new fertilizer formulas for various crops, container experiments, soil and plant analyses, plant nutrition. It was the real chemistry I had studied, and at the same time it blended perfectly with plants and the idea of developing my own fertilizer. Who would have guessed that there would be more of them in the end :) Before founding the company, I worked as a fertilizer and pesticide consultant for viticulture in a private company.
But let me get back to how VÍNOFIT® came about. Tractors were constantly driving through the vineyard around me, spraying large amounts of pesticides. These were mainly plant protection products and only occasionally fertilizers. But it should be the other way around, don't you think? I thought to myself that there must be another way than using large quantities of synthetic and poorly degradable substances. In order for plants to resist disease, they must first and foremost be in good condition and have strong immunity. During vegetation and especially in stressful periods, they should primarily receive nutrients on their leaves, not synthetics. I see a parallel with humans – if you eat a healthy and balanced diet, you are generally more resistant to disease. And if you base your health solely on medication, it can't end well in the long run and your health will suffer anyway.
I knew that there was no leaf fertilizer specifically for vines at that time. I started experimenting with different nutrient mixtures in problematic areas. My goal was to achieve a form that would have an immediate effect on the vines, comprehensively address growth or nutrient problems, help in times of crisis and during regeneration after them, contain no toxic substances for humans, and ideally have something extra. At the same time, I wanted such a fertilizer to correspond to sustainable agriculture, reasonable ecological practices, and be beneficial to nature and all living things in it. So I played around with the composition, my husband refined the technology, and we tested the mixtures at winemakers and in our grandfather's vineyard. Until the result was 100%. In 2018, we registered our first powdered fertilizer for grapevines – VÍNOFIT®. Last year, it was joined by its siblings FERROFIT and FAT BOY.
